550 Hexa test

I have done a few flights with my 550 size hexa with DJI Naza and it flies really good. I have mounted AeroXcraft landinggear on it and it looks good and is a really good LG. Really lightweight and sturdy with great mountings for camera and lipos.

I use RcTimer 2836 880kv motors, 25A Turnigy Plush and 10x4.7 APC Slowflyer props.

With a 3300mah 3s lipo i get around 6-7 minutes of hovering before my low voltage alarm starts beeping thats set to 3.4v/cell. Will maybe buy bigger battery to get more flight time.

Did a test with a gopro + a 5000mah Zippy 4s lipo mounted on the frame. With same 3300mah 3s  battery i still get 5 minutes of hovering and thats pretty good concidering the lipo weighs 530 grams.

So i only get 1-2 minutes less flighttime with 530 grams more weight on the frame. Thats good to know :)

After the 5 minute hover the esc are barely warm and the motors slightly warmer so its all good. I´d guess the esc and motors got up to around 35-40 degrees celcius and lipo the same.

Here´s a few pics of the landing gear from Aeroxcraft

I had a big problem putting on the camera mount in the front ( the left in the pic ) and didnt know why until i got an email from the guys at aeroxcraft saying they sent out a few of the camera mounts that had the spacing wrong. He has already sent out a new one so its all good. Really good for a   company to admit problems and then correct them. Thumbs up to Aeroxcraft.

Here the 550 is near my Heavy lift hexa thats 950mm motor to motor.

I like the frame because its sturdy and lots of rooms for extras.

                                                                          UPDATE

Added a few more pictures of the 550 Hexa :)

Empty on top atm. I only hae the Rx there atm but will be moved and adding FPV gear on top instead.

Messy cables atm. Powering Naza first the ESC.
